Hello! :)

I should be asleep now as its almost 2am! I am normally snugly asleep by this hour. Heheh. I actually got back around midnight and then got around to doing my packing. I am flying off later tonight at about 9pm.
Went for dinner and movies with Leah and her brother earlier on. Made the most out of the little time we had left because by the time I get back from KK, she'll be flying off already. She's heading to Perth for uni. I'm gonna miss her :( She's genuinely one of the nicest girls I know.

We had dinner at All Seasons :3

I tried their Mee Udang (Prawn Mee) and it wasn't like the one that I absolutely love to bits in Daily Kopitiam, KK, but it was a nice substitute! Its closer and actually get-able being in Brunei! Yay :)

Had Tutti Frutti again! I was so grouchy because my froyo is always so ugly whereas Paul always manages to get the awesome flip at the tip of the froyo. My froyo is always ugly! Hey, at least it still tastes amazing right?!

Finally took a picture with the Chinese Padoga downstairs at Times Square! Its been there for a long time already, almost a month and I walked pass it every single day. Lol.

We also went to the FAB Tweet Up at Each A Cup, Airport Mall organized by Projek Brunei.

Met a certain miss Jocelyn Bong there!!!

I was supposed to meet her for lunch earlier but I had meetings all day so I had to PPK her :(

But will be seeing her on Tues! So sad cos she is only around for such a SHORTTTTT TIME! And it doesn't help that I'll be away for 3 of the 10 days that she's around. Ugh, really no fate.

I'm feeling very disgruntled because I have been eating so happily lately that my tummy is literally bulging out. And it sucks to the absolute max because we'll be hitting the islands and stuff in KK so I am going to be in a bikini with a bulging tummy :(

Ok it is the 1st of February 2012 already.

It is amazing how time flies by so quickly. I swear it feels like it was New Year's eve just yesterday! I am turning 22 in exactly a month and I am honestly not feeling excited about it at all. It feels like it is just going to be like any other day right now.

I am flying off to KK soon with the girls, so that is one thing for me to look forward to! It is this weekend, to be exact. In 2 more days, to be more exact 8-) This trip is going to be different from my last. That trip was all about shopping but this one is going to be more of a laid back and chilled out one.

Greetings! :)
First of all, I'd just like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! Its Day 6 already and to be honest, its been a dull Chinese New Year so far. I went back to Kuching but it was so short and I was sick the entire trip.
I am flying to KK next week with the girls though, and that I am really looking forward to!

Meanwhile..
All Seasons Restaurant, the Asian cuisine restaurant in Times Square is open. I've been there for the past 3 days for lunch. It is really good!

On Day 1, we had this:

It was really yummy! We especially loved the lamb and the soft-shell crab. ♥ _ ♥

On Day 2, we had:

I had the Malaysian styled fried noodles while Siew Yii had the Mango pudding. And yes, thats how the restaurant looks like from outside.

And on Day 3 (today), we had a Food Tasting with the Media and we had so much amazing good food. It was really unfortunate that I was feeling rather stuffed already from breakfast at Countrypatch earlier on (yeeees they're open at Times Square now too!) so I didn't really eat that much.

Ok, there was really so much food that I lost track of what was what. The food was amazing, and it received raving reviews from all the media who was at the tasting. I see a bright future ahead for Mr. Heng and All Seasons Restaurant!

On a whole different note, my hair is growing longer! I am now starting to worry about split ends. The transition from short hair to long hair is going to be tedious due to the split ends! But, challenge accepted because I really miss hiding behind my hair, haha.

I've been such a dork today, laughing behind my computer screen at random stuff on tumblr. I swear tumblr has the funniest shit. Hehehe.

Well, Chinese New Year is around the corner and I am kinda excited! I'm not sure what it is that excites me, but I am guessing its the merriment and celebratory atmosphere! I am going to Kuching for 4 days (only). Don't know about you but all I've been thinking is, I hope I can go to the Spring because I wanna go to MNG. Hahaha. I've recently taken up a new... art..... which is online shopping. From international sites. Hahaha! I recently bought a few stuff from Asos and Miss Selfridge, so now I am just (im)patiently waiting for them to arrive. I foresee an expensive hobby ahead. :|

I am flying off to KK again early next month, with the girls. That, I am excited about too!

This time baby, I'll be bulletproooooof! 2012 is going to be a good year! I don't care if it isn't going to be, I am going to make it good!

I probably don't say this enough, but I really do appreciate my family. Today, my dad made me feel like a little girl again, in a good way, and it really brightened up my day and turned it for the better because I was feeling shitty all day.
I told him that I want a makeup table because I was so sick of always having to do my makeup while seated on the floor (I know, so kesian!) and today, I came home from work to see a makeup table in my room!! :)

Ok I currently don't have much to do. I've a dinner at 7:30PM but I started getting ready at 5 so I was done a while ago. I had my Off day today and I fully utilized it by sleeping. I literally slept the whole day away, only waking up for lunch in between. Sigh, I miss those good old bumming days.

My roots are showing so quickly and I just dyed my hair in December! Sabby welcomed me to the world of continuous hair dyeing hahaha. I wish my hair would grow longer fast though. It is soooo much easier to look good with long hair. When in doubt, just hide behind your hair. Lol. And wear black. Yes that is why I always wear black, because I am always in doubt! Always in doubt that nobody is gonna piss me off and ruin my day, hahaha ok I am just kidding....

Also went to the CF9 with Leah and her brother, Paul, at ICC. I really have to stop going to ICC fairs broke. I always forget that you need to pay a certain amount to enter certain places. We didn't go into the Balloon place cos we were all broke -_- We did go into the House of Snakes part though cos Paul really wanted to, and paid for us, hahaha.

Leah and I actually held a snake similar to this for a picture but as luck would have it, the picture came out blur and I looked really bad. :( It was so disgusting to touch, let alone hold that thing and it was all for nothing :( The guides there were all trying to convince me to hold the smaller ones but I kept ignoring them hahaha. One thing I hate the most are snakes. They're disgusting.

Quick (extremely short) Getaway

Happy New Year! :)

Initially I thought of deleting this blog because I felt like I was getting unwanted attention, but then again my friend said isn't a package that comes with having a Blog anyhow? Well, either way, I am keeping this around a little bit longer. :)

This year, I am opting not to "walk down memory lane" for my 2011 because 2011 was really bad for me and I am all too happy for it to be over and done with.

Anyway, I went to KK for a few days. I reached on the 31st evening, and came back on the 3rd. It was too short of a trip, really :(
I left work a little earlier and went around with Leah and her brother, Paul. We went shopping around a little bit as I needed to get a dress for New Year's Eve. Ended up getting a black toga one from Ego, the Mall. After that, she sent me to the airport. Thanks babe :-)

After reaching and getting ready after dinner, we went to Chocolate Factory, where we had spots reserved. It was so jam packed! We were placed at the outdoor part of the party which was a bit meh.

The next day, we went shopping and I bought the entire Suria. Hahaha. I spent almost all of my money there, namely in MNG, Cotton On and Padini. Hahaha. By the time I went anywhere else, I was already so poor. Godddd I love MNG and Cotton On.. Later that evening, I met up with my brother. We went for Bak Kut Teh, and after that for drinks at The Loft, Waterfront.

Hello!

I think I'm getting old because I am tired all the time. :(
Anyway I dyed my hair darker last night because my roots were showing and my hair was becoming brighter from my previous hair do. Liese hair dye (Japanese brand) is really good, and I do recommend it. You can find it in any Watsons outlet, or at Supa Save if you're in Brunei.

So I've been jam packed with work lately.. Yesterday was the last day of our Times Square 1st Anniversary Carnival and I am pleased to tell you that everything went well. There were several issues along the way that really broke me down but overall, I would say that things were more good than they were bad. For starters, we reached the headlines, page 1 for Borneo Bulletin today! We've been in the papers lots of times, but headlines; this was the first time!! :)

Please don't mind the "Another 3 lives lost" bit. However, rest in peace and my condolences to the victims' friends and family.

We are also in all the Chinese papers (United Daily, Sin Chew and See Hua) and The Brunei Times:

So there was the Pastamania Dress Up Competition, and the staff decided to join in on the fun and dress up too. I was very skeptical at first because I am sort of passive and I don't really like to participate and be active in a lot of stuff that drives attention to me. But I decided to join in, and after googling for quite some time, I settled on Betty Rubble from the Flintstones cos for starters, she had short hair like me! I couldn't be bothered to wear a wig. Plus, her outfit was very simple. I know I'd be too busy running around getting this and that done so I had to be in something simple. So yup, that's me, 4th from the right in the picture of the Brunei Times report. :)

I was a very modern cave woman though, running around with a walkie and an iPhone the whole time. Hahaha character fail!

This guy ended up winning 1st runner up! I remember saying, Ok I don't care if you're gonna kill me, I am still gonna smile ok.

I am really relieved that the whole thing is over now. There was also a cake cutting ceremony, and the cake was 12 pounds! Imagine how big that was!! We had the cake cutting in the morning. Times Square is now 1 year old! :)

Now we have to start working on our next event, but I am so excited because I am off to KK next week :D ARE U READY FOR ME, KK?! I AM COMING BACKKKKKKKKKKKKK!! :D God knows how much I need a goood, goooooood holiday.

Hello!
I am feeling a little biiiiiiiiiiiiiiit hardworking now so I gathered a few pictures to blog :D
Can't really blame me as well ok, I have been sooo packed with work! But work is good, being busy is good!

Anyway, they're all pictures from Instagram so if you follow me there, its going to be a bit redundant so, sorry :P

1. I've been spending so, so much lately. First I got myself the iPhone 4s ;)
I seriously think Apple has the best phones, and Blackberries can't even almost kinda compare to it. Anyway, 2 weeks ago I got this makeup palette from Victoria's Secret. Was a bit hesitant because well, VS is well, a lingerie brand so I didn't know if their makeup would be any good, so I was taking a risk when I blew a hundred bucks on it but it turned out to be really good and I love it :D Worth every cent, really.

2. Attended a friend's brother's wedding with my parents last week. It was nice! The bride was really pretty. I can't wait to get married too and make all my bridesmaids wear the most unflattering color and cutting just to make sure that I will be the prettiest girl that night, hahahahahahaha I am kidding.

3. Been reaaaaaaaally busy with the Times Square 1st Anniversary Carnival that started last Friday, and is ongoing until the 18th Dec. Those in Brunei, do come visit and join us! :)))

4. I got my parcel the Bff Rae sent from the Uk. She got me mascara!! I love mascara. I can never have too many mascaras. I currently really like theFaceshop's one which I think is only B$9.90 :O My mum gave it to me, and I was so pleasantly surprised it worked so well because I bought the $20 one before instead and that one was pretty good too. But why would I wanna get a $20+ one if theres a $9.90 one that is just as good, am I right? I don't really like the Majolica Majorca one that I used to rave about anymore because they kept smudging, especially on my lower lashes :(

The Etude house one I got was really a big disappointment though.

Too lazy to post up pictures so you guys just go to each shop and identify yourselves k.... Hahaha.

Ok I am going to bed now, tomorrow will be another day, a new day for me to improve and be a better person! :D I find life goes by easier, quicker and simpler when you wake up with a positive outlook to this silly thing called life.
Michael Jackson taught me that if I want to make a change in the world, you have to take a look at yourself and make that change! I shall start with the girl in the mirror. :)

So I bought a new pair of heels from URS the other day, and they've been giving my feet hell. I was literally limping today after walking in them all day. :( I hate how they hurt but they are so pretty. My previous ones from Charles & Keith really hurt too so what is this with me and painful shoes, why God why T_____T

I can't wait for Dec to be over so I can finally kick back and relax for a lil' bit.

I was told to think positive so that I will attract positive things in life, to count my blessings instead of emphasizing on the negative things in my life. So, I am going to blog about things (even the tiniest) that have made me happy lately, or just even managed to put a smile on my face. :) *points in no particular order

My new River Island wallet that I ordered online from ASOS which I love.

My flight tickets to KK just got booked! :D Cost me $300 though, wtf! So yay, new year's at KK! I miss that place SO much. Too bad I can only stay for like 2 days due to work.
I have even shorter hair right now! I went on a hair show (the Wella Launching) and had my hair cut onstage! I miss my bob haircut, but its okay. It was really bright after they colored my hair for the show. But a few days later I went and got it colored darker so all is good :) I look like this now:

Driving lessons! Well, I basically suck at it BIG time but I'm glad because I know I'm getting better at it. I sadly need more than 10 lessons though. Having my 11th tomorrow. I panic like mad on the slope but its all good. I know I am wayyyyy behind when it comes to getting a license as I am 21 already but better late than never, right?!
Getting the membership for the Body Shop at $10. Hahaha, they are having that promo til the 28th. Talk about cheap thrills.
Knowing that Pay Day is in a week's time! I AM SO POOR NOW and I have so many new things that I do not own, yet. :P Also, I cannot wait to get the iPhone 4s. My mum gave me the green light for it so YAY, about time for an upgrade! Once you go iPhone, you can't go back. :P

I haven't had short hair for the LONGEST time. Even the bob cut before this (pic 2) was already so new for me, let alone this one! Got it colored too, so its bright as well. I might get it colored to something darker by next week though, because it is too bright for my liking.

Last week, a bunch of us went over to Sabby's place for a small get together. Most of the pictures below were taken off her Facebook album :)

Sushi set from Kaizen! I really liked the tuna sushi (cooked one, of course!). There was also shepherd's pie, made by Ting, and dessert in the form of Oreo Cheese (?) cake, made be Denice's mum :D

Also, I sat for my Law Exam earlier today. Fingers crossed that I pass! If I do, then it's going to be driving lessons for me! Gosh I am super noob, I don't know how to drive at all :( But I cannot wait to get it so I won't be some sort of captive in my room every night (although its sort of voluntary).

So last Thursday, we had this Hari Raya Open House at Times Square. Basically, it was a free food kinda thing.. That's what people love right? Free stuff and food. When combined, it is inevitable.

with my colleagues, Amal and Siew Yii. I changed into one of Amal's baju melayu at the last minute. I was wearing a dress and a blazer, but it was a bit too short. Haha. Anyway, I really like this one although its so long! It actually belongs to Amal, the one in the center and she's so much taller than me ok. /wipes tear

Bright Lights, Bigger City

Its one of those nights where I don't have a specific topic to blog about, or even a solid backbone to what I want to say, but yet I just feel like writing. Its one of those days where I don't know how to feel at the end of the day. I've actually had a really shit of a day, but something nice happened today. I was at Lof, getting a bottle of mineral water for my manager and I bumped into one of the really friendly cleaners of Times Square there. And at the counter, he moved aside and let me go first, and then he told the cashier to count my item on him. I know its just a bottle of water, but that gesture really (almost) made my day. I know it isn't some freaky stalker shit because he's always really friendly to me when I walk by him, greeting me good day and all. Its really funny isn't it, how the smallest of gestures can lighten up a random person's day?

Many times I wonder where my life is heading, and whether I'm living it right. I really hate how everything in life is such a gamble. You may be working hard and doing everything right today, but who are you to be sure that everything won't fall apart tomorrow? I wish I had a sense of stability of at least SOMETHING in my life. Many times I feel like I am just living, living, with no aim and nothing to really look ahead to. Sometimes I don't know what I am living for.

Its Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday today, or was supposed to be. Apart from the Beatles, Queen is one of my favorite bands. I know I sound so pretentious but I really do love old school music.

May your soul rest in peace.

I feel like.. my life is so hollow nowadays. I don't know what I am holding on to. I don't know what is waiting for me.. But I really, really hope it'll be something that is worth all of this. I would really hate to be trying so hard, to only have everything crashing down on me.

Last Sunday afternoon, I watched Cars 2 on 3D. It was pretty good. I love how every car is a real and existing car model in reality!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I found out that the voice for Finn MicMissile (pic below) is actually Michael Caine!

I got to know of Michael Caine from watching the original Alfie, which was filmed back in the 60s.

This is what he looked like back then, and I must say that he had dashingly good looks. Of course people age, and he no longer looks like this.

Alfie has since been remade, with Jude Law replacing Michael Caine. If you thought Jude was a total bastard in the new Alfie, you'd be amazed by how much worse Michael was in the original Alfie. I'm not saying he was a bad actor, but that his character was beyond the biggest jerk in the world. He had the part, it was totally his to play. :)

The new Alfie, I guess, had a cleaner and simpler story line though. The original one was very complicated, and they really gave his character the extreme bastardness, I got so angry with his character that I had to pause the film, and continue it the next day. Haha.

Anyway, I have been really busy. Thank God I'll be able to take a bit of a breather from tomorrow til Thursday, as I'll be going to Miri and be seeing the Boyfriend. Selamat Hari Raya to all my Muslim friends and readers! Raya is on the 31st for Brunei though. Heheh.

Alright, I'm going to go now. I haven't been having enough time to myself lately. Though I've work in the morning later, I am going to kick back with supper and some FRIENDS now. Good bye and happy holidays to those celebrating Hari Raya.

Hi! Its been a really unproductive day! Lord.

I have a whole bunch of stuff I have to do once I get home though! I just got a new closet for my room! So I have to move all my stuff out from the boxes and into the closet, and all of a sudden my closet looks a lot smaller -_- I'll take pictures of it when I am done sorting my crap out! I have too much crap :S

Went to Taty's with Drew, Sabby and Ting the other night. It was my first time there, and I've heard a lot of wonderful things about it. I liked the concept of the restaurant; they let you write on the walls, shelves.. But of course with no cussing. We didn't write anything though!

So I ordered the Big Boss Burger, which consists of TWO lamb patties and TWO slices of cheese with mushrooms and onions. Oh bliss. It really WAS wonderful :)

The Bf is coming down to my Brunei tomorrow, and I am thrilled!

Have to clean up my entire roooom first though by then. I have boxes full of clothes, bags, shoes all over my room. And I finally have a full length mirror now! Its great but it reminds me how short I am T__T

Well, for starters- my net is back! Hallelujah.
Found pictures of a dinner I went with a bunch of friends that I did not blog about, and this was weeks ago!

A bunch of us went to Kitaro, Gadong for dinner.

It was almost all of our first time there, me included!

Ordered this for myself. Naturally everything was cooked.

We ended with frozen yoghurt for dessert. It was nice, this was Vanilla flavored and there were apple cubes in it too. I am now officially addicted to the frozen yoghurt from Bakerlyn. The Mango flavored with fresh mango cubes are POSITIVELY AMAZING! Was recommended by Jenny Malai Ali, and I've been hooked ever since!

Its interesting to see how much we've all grown! Its lovely meeting people whom you haven't for the longest time, and then click upon meeting almost instantly.

Hi.
Last Thursday, a few friends and I met up for dinner at Lemongrass, a restaurant specializing in Thai cuisine. I haven't been to the place for so long! Made reservations for 10, but only 6 turned up (even if Jason did turn up 1 hour 15 minutes late like a boss).

Green Chilli Chicken

Panda Chicken. Googled the restaurant and came across a few raving reviews about this dish, so I decided to try it. It wasn't that awesome actually, t'was okay.

Now this disappointed me. I was looking forward to some good old Tom Yam Soup and I thought I was going to get some, due to the reviews that I also read. It was too sweet for my liking.

After discussing for about 15minutes (or more), we decided to go to Ben's house. That's the trouble with Brunei, there is literally nothing to do. I am having big big problems adapting.

We met Ben's Maltese dog, Snowy, who is literally a big ball of white fluff!

He also had 6 little Shihtzu puppies, and this is one of them. Can't deny how cute it is!

What is awesome about Ben's place is that he has his little private Karaoke room :D

I can't read Chinese so I picked all the English songs. Everyone kept complaining I picked all the 'emo songs'. Not my fault y'all can't appreciate real music, is it now hmm?

Anyway, I watched Harry Potter 7 part 2 with Leah and her friends last night, not in 3D though. I wish we watched it in 3D. I want to watch it again because I think I was too sleepy to be fully aware of what was happening, but I guess the cinemas are fully booked for the movie til goodness knows when. The movie was okay, definitely better than the previous ones and a great finish to the movie series. It is devastating that it is over. Ah well.

And as for me?
Well, I'm hanging on.

Hi.

I am at the office now and I just felt the overwhelming need to rant.
It has by far, been one of the shittiest days I've had since I started work. I woke up to notice the pimple on my chin has gotten so so much worse. And mind, it is a new pimple on the same exact mother spot where the pimple before JUST left. Then I tore my contact lens, and dropped it. I couldn't find it after that. So since 9 until now, almost 1, I've been sitting in front of the computer screen, literally winking at it, as I am only wearing one side of my contacts. And yes, from that, I have gotten a massive headache.

AND I had no lunch partner, and feeling really ugly, I refuse to go to the restaurant downstairs to takeaway anything. What more, I have to meet up my friends from high school tonight, with this mutant pimple on my chin.

Things are just perfect.

I miss my boyfriend. He's on the way to Doha, Qatar now, and will be back in Malaysia by tomorrow. So relieved we'll be living in the same time zone again. Its 6 hours difference between Italy/Switzerland and here and I'd be asleep when he's up, and vice versa. I really salute people who bear and conquer long distance relationships. I guess it all boils down to the simple fact that some people are just meant to be able to do certain things, and some aren't.

Anyway, my life's been pretty mundane, to say the least. I've been working. And well yea, just working.

Baiduri Bank is having small activities at Times Square, and they made me join. I won this cute green egg clock. Lol.

Finally tried Each a Cup. Can't wait for Tutti Frutti to open here at Times Square. I've never tried it :\

And met Bung! After ages. Since what, more than 2 years ago before he left for Perth? Was lovely catching up!

I am so tireddddddddddd. I feel like my legs are going to break off. Heels + Excessive walking= Uncool.

Hello! I am in truth about to sleep, but just thought I should have a quick update as its been almost a week! :)

went for lunch at Excapade at Times Square last week with Leah :)

Went for Korean food (first time, can you imagine! hahaha! I didn't know what/how to eat :P I literally didn't know how to eat this dish!) at Kyo-ro with a few friends from high school. Sadly we didn't get to take any pictures :(

I absolutely adored this Kimchi stew thingy. Was so yummyyyyy!!

After dinner, we went to catch a late night movie at Qlap Mall cinema. Watched none other than Transformers 3. I was really sleepy and it went on til about 2 am, and by then I was really longing for my bed. The movie was okay la, action packed and Rosie Huntington-Whitely is simply gorgeous. It was a bit too long though, almost 3 hours for goodness sake.

Went to Czen's house at Tutong for a BBQ with Joss on Saturday night. Her house is amazing. It has a backyard which is literally the beach. You open the back fence, and you have your own private beach! I am not a beach person, but once in a while, it does the soul good. This is me with my marshmallow at the bonfire. I was too afraid to get too close to the fire so Czen did it for me. :P Thank you!

I feel shitty because everyone seems to be having more fun than me. People in Switzerland *cough bf cough*, the UK, KK, KL... Basically just anywhere but here in my shoes. Sigh.

Bought this blusher from Maybelline last night, and I'm really liking it. I like the brush that comes along with it. Also got the bag thing with the purchase. :)

I've been spending quite a lot, and I keep telling myself its okay, since I worked hard for it. But can't help feeling a big tug at my heart. It ain't the same anymore, spending your own money that you yourself worked for.

How's everyone doing?

I've been quite packed with stuff to do for the past week. My manager's out of town for 2 days so I'm at a vital position to run things smoothly for the time being! So far Day 1 was OK. I know, you're probably thinking, it is only 2 days! but in 2 days, a LOT of things can happen/ need to be completed! And when they don't, people get screwed! :X

Anyway, last week I went to Miri for my medical checkup. Had to take a urine test, X-ray scan and *squirms* a blood test. I was asked to pee into a tiny cylindrical container for the urine test. That was.. an unusual experience. I must say, it is definitely easier for guys as its easier for them to aim! For girls.. Lets just say its harder cos you can't really see where to aim, hahahaha! Well, for the blood test, I was seriously freaked out. I have this thing where I can't take blood and stuff like that, it makes me incredibly nauseous. I actually retracted my arm the first time the doctor wanted to inject me. Then he went, "Scared ah?" and told me to relax. Le sigh. It felt like.. Well.. I felt 2 pangs of quick jabs, and slightly faint for 10 seconds afterwards. I didn't dare to look at all.

Post-Blood test. And can you believe it, I have to take ANOTHER ONE HERE IN BRUNEI, probably end of this week. jmhngbfvdcrtdyguihyojukpipkmjnhbgvfcxsafghijuki :( :( :(

Met up with some friends from high school last week. Went for dinner at Excapade and then went for drinks at the Arch.

Cheryl, Andrew and I. Both of them, particularly Andrew, lost SOOO much weight from high school, which was about 5 years ago. Andrew is like what, half of the size he was back then?! Sucks being the only one gaining weight among everybody! #fail

Met up with Leah, Bobby and Fizah last night and we watched Pirates of the Caribbean 4. I thought the movie was draggy and remarkably anti-climatic. I was supposed to meet them by 7ish, but can you believe I was caught up at work til about 8, so we only met up by 9. There was an epic and unfamiliar traffic jam at Gadong so we were stuck for half an hour looking for parking at the Mall. There were a lot of people cos the next day (today) was a public holiday (but I still had to work. *poker face*), so people were on the prrrrowl. And the sneak preview of Transformers 3 was open last night at 12am. Bobby and Fizah sent me home, and only this afternoon they told me that they got lost on the way back to Fiz's cousin's place after sending me. -___- Apparently they went the other way, to Kuala Lurah -___- I asked why they didn't call me, and Fiz said it was because Bobby said to not disturb me as I have work the next day. I love the tact, but seriously? Hahaha, silly girls.

I can't wait to watch Transformers 3 and even more, Harry Potter when it comes out mid July! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Its going to be LEGENDARY! :) Saw a promotional poster of the movie and it didn't have ANY wording on it, just a picture, and the caption was "you know a movie is going to be epic when there isn't a title of the movie and EVERYONE knows what movie it is!" (or stg like that!) and you just know that's true! SO please don't let me down kthxbye.

The Bf is having the time of his life at Rome right now! Two more weeks, and I am already missing him so much! He's been to the Colosseum and Vatican City so far, and a lot of wonderful places more to go! He'll also be going to Switzerland. I envy him so much, I feel like I'm just living in a card box everyday! (my office)

I am feeling really, really drained lately, and I seriously hope my life will pick up soon..

Okay, I'm going off now. Have to be up extra early to go for the Grand Opening at Citi Square tomorrow la zzzzzs.

Happy 69th birthday, Paul McCartney! :)

Mum just got me this pendant. Apparently it is my lucky number, and yellow is my lucky color. She's been pestering me to stop wearing dark colors and wear yellow instead. Sigh, mum, I like wearing black.

wore a pantyhose to work the other day! I haven't worn one of these in ages! Felt a bit weird, but did it anyway. I have short legs so the pantyhose are extra stretchy -__-

Attended the launching of Professional Sebastian at Empire Hotel Grand Hall the other day..

They had this Red Carpet styled board thing, and everyone was asked to sign in gold markers (refer to pic above!) while people took pictures. The one in white is blogger Tiger Lim.

Tidbits!

We were given stickers to stick onto ourselves and goodie bags which consist of a Sebastian booklet, shampoo and conditioner samples.

Took these pictures with my iPhone, so the quality is really shit. They had models modeling their hairstyles. This is like no other runway I've seen. The models were made to walk REALLY slow and look REALLY lifeless.

They also had two representatives from Manhattan, New York to come and talk about the product, and do live hair transformations onstage. There was a theme of black too, so mostly everybody was in black. I didn't know that. Good thing I like wearing black anyway and went equipped.

MORE tidbits! I absolutely LOVED the fruit tarts, not in this picture though.

Times Square is currently having their Home and Lifestyle Exhibition. They have a coloring contest for children ages 5 to 12 (split into two categories: 5 to 8, 9 to 12). I was asked to judge the first day's session! Hehehe. I swear some of these kids are super talented. I remember I used to join coloring contests back when I was a kid, and just coloring inside the lines was an achievement for me. But these kids.. They did damn precise shading, and everything!

The coloring contest is still ongoing until tomorrow :-)

Times Square is also having a pizza eating competition organized by Pastamania.

Basically, participants have to compete in sessions of 5 each to see who can finish eating 2 plates of these pizzas and a glass of Pepsi the fastest. The winners of these sessions will have a final to battle it out on Sunday. Hehehe, this competition actually gathered a very warm response from the public! :-)

Anyway, I wrote a couple of the press releases that have been released to the newspapers. Thing is, the reporters sorta just edit tiny tiny barely-there bits of it, and of course, put their names. Nevertheless it still feels pretty good. Journalism was my initial line of entry, y'know.

Went to ICC for the FIRST TIME! LOL. But nothing much also..

I've spent the whole Sunday doing absolutely nothing! It feels great because I haven't had the chance to bum for almost a month. Today is the first time I got to sleep in and wake up late (though only 11am). I really, really miss those days where I did nothing but go online, eat and sleep all day. :\

Taken before I had my hair done. Purposely wanna show the ring I bought from Ego. :P

Went to Old Time with my manager yesterday. Ordered this Nasi Lemak with Ayam Goreng. It was nice. I like my sambal not too hot, and this was more to sweet, which suited me fine :)

Also tried out their bubu chacha. I was very fascinated by it because it had so many different types of potatoes in it, with different types of colors and structures. I only ate the sweet potato because I didn't know what the others were and I've always only eaten things I can identify. There was also this.. rubbery, soft, gooey thing that I spat out afterwards, hahaha. Yup, guilty, guillltyyyy indulgence as this is basically just a bowl of carbs!

Met up with Joss after work and after discussing for half an hour, we decided to go to Pastamania for dinner. I've never tried it, and there is a branch in Times Square. I thought I should get to know the tenants' services an products better so we went, although the one we went to was the Gadong one..

Their palm-sized picket menu! The food was reasonably cheap, if you compare it to other Italian restaurants here in Brunei. Joss kept saying "OMG SO CHEAP" the whole time, lol. I couldn't, as I'm still dirt poor. Its still 3 weeks til payday :\

Ordered this Meatball Spaghetti, which was good. I love meatballs, hehe, as wrong as that MAY sound. :P Joss had a plate of salad..... She said she's been eating the whole day and wasn't hungry. Meh.

Went to the Arch after that to chill for a bit. I was feeling so bloated and stuffed because of the pasta and garlic bread Joss ordered, and the drinks. That's all you can really do in Brunei you see. Eat and eat and eat. This is Joss giving relationship advice to her friends, hahaha.

I feel so unhealthy nowadays as all I do is eat and sit for long hours (at the office) and not exercise. By the time I finish work all I wanna do is just collapse into a coma. Le sigh. What more, my neck aches like mad due to excessive sitting and using the computer.

Hello :)

Last Sunday I went to get my hair done. Spent about 5 hours there alone, such a sad life. And I forgot my wallet no less, so I couldn't leave until my mum came, and she had to drive all the way home to get it for me cos she didn't bring her wallet out too. Sigh.Got my hair done at a salon in Gadong. :)

The device used to perm my hair was like something out of Men in Black or something. Hahaha, I've gotten my hair digitally permed before, but by a more basic device compared to this one. I had a trim, perm and the treatment for B$140 altogether. I am so broke now its not even funny :\

After my hair was done. I guess I quite like it. The hairdresser sort of cleaned up my fringe a li'l bit. I thought it'd be okay so I trimmed it by myself and ended up looking like an idiot before that. Some people just aren't meant to do certain things by themselves, lol.
This is the third time in my life getting my hair permed. I personally think I look better in curly and messy hair, rather than sleek and straight hair. Had straight hair a few years back for quite a long time..

Looked for a picture of me with straight hair, and decided on this one with Nina (aka Ninjabeats), hehehe, taken at least 2-3 years ago at G2 in uni.

Personally, I also think that curly hair is easier to manage! All I have to do every morning now is crunch up my hair, and put mousse, as opposed to my straight hair days where I blew it straight every day after showering.

Its been freezing lately, raining everyday! Perfect weather to get some snoozing but I have to work. Sigh.

We're currently rushing through plenty of stuff cos there's going to be an event at Times Square next weekend, 16th to 19th, the Home & Lifestyle Exhibition. Do pay us a visit if you are able :)

My parents are going to Miri this weekend, but I won't be tagging along as I've work til pretty late and there won't be a point as the bf will be having his exams. Can't wait for him to come here after his exams! :D

What's New Pussycat?

Hello!

Its a Saturday night, and what has become a very comfortable rut, I am at home, like most nights nowadays. I was supposed to go to Times Square for some work stuff, but it was canceled this afternoon.

Now that I've started working, days seem so.. hollow. Its like I have nothing to specifically look forward to anymore, which is a bit sad. So to my fellow friends who are still in university, please enjoy and embrace the time you have there, because chances are, once you come out, things are going to be SO different and boring, only with the exception that you have more $$ to spend (unless your parents pound on the pocket money for you).

All I will say is.. working life is really.. different from studying life.

I am going to get my hair permed tomorrow afternoon. Compared to the salon I always go to in Miri (Mona Salon, Pujut), its a lot more expensive.. I guess when you earn higher currency, you live a higher cost of living! I usually get my digital perm done RM180-200 and in Brunei, most of the salons go at least B$150 and above. Living in Malaysia for so long, especially Miri, has made me such a cheapo! Hahaha.

Guess I'm going to have to stop multiplying everything with 2.4. :)

I can't wait to have my hair done, I am so sick of my not-curly-yet-not-straight hair. So ugly!

Had lunch with my mum at Kayu Nasi Kandar today, which is only a few blocks away from my office..

I did not know the place is a franchise that is very popular in West M'sia til Roshni told me! It was yummy. :)

Found these pictures in my computer. Got them from Sarah a while back, and this was taken in White Room, KK where I bumped into Kish and Sarah. I miss KK so much! My parents plan to go in July, but I won't be able to because of work, sigh. Now doesn't that just suck? :(

I can't wait til my friends start coming back for the holidays. From OZ, the UK, NZ (yes, you- Janice!), and Malaysia. Its been too longgggg since I've met a lot of them!

Its really funny how when we meet up, we usually will somehow always revert to stories from school back in our younger days. Those were good fine days, but I wouldn't want to go back because now looking back, I have no idea what I was thinking. Hahaha do you all feel like that too? I had this shit reputation because I was always crushing on every 'cute' guy back then. Hahaha!! Why was I like that one!

I feel like I've grown up a lot.. (just mentally not physically, I think I am still the same freaking height since high school, fml). Just the other day, I had a mental war with- myself! Yes, myself! I was actually on the verge on judging this one person I just met, you see, and then suddenly another voice inside my head butted in and said, "who are you to judge this person when you just met him?! Maybe he/she is just having a bad day? Imagine if someone felt like that about YOU?". Soooo yeah. After that I had a short mental coma as to how mature I was suddenly being, and got impressed with myself, hahahahaha!

I am still really new to this, so I feel very humble with my surroundings and the people in it. Since I've started working, I realized that I have to somewhat readjust myself. I've said this before, I actually can't be bothered making a good impression and make myself super likeable and all, but now I kind of have to mold into that now.. But one step at a time.

I guess we all just have to grow up one day. :)

Alright, feeling hungry now at midnight, le sigh, hopeless.

P/S I scanned this very carefully to make sure that I did not inappropriately blog about work. I deleted a lot of paragraphs while doing this, lol.

So its time to say goodbye..... for now.
